Wild Pacific Media is a Sydney based production company, specialised in creating high-end, blue chip documentary and commercial films, from natural history and wildlife to brand funded features.

We have sparked social change with environmental films, have been responsible for the creation of ground breaking marketing campaigns in the tourism and luxury brand spheres and produced viral videos that have been featured on news channels around the world.

Our team have won prestigious awards in every aspect of production, taking home ‘Best Direction’ (ADG Awards), ‘Best Cinematography’ (AACTA Awards) and ‘Best Editing’ (ASE Awards). Company founder Nick Robinson was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2016 and we have our sights set high for the coming year.

Nick Robinson

Managing Director

Nick Robinson began his career as a marine biologist but soon found a path into documentary filmmaking. His first documentary as a director won the French Senate 2005 Audio Visual Award for ‘Best Adventure Documentary’.

On moving back to Australia Nick was Director and DOP on ‘Disable Bodied Sailors’, a documentary series for SBS Australia that was nominated for two AFI Awards in 2010; ‘Best Documentary Series’ and ‘Best Cinematography in a Documentary’.

In 2013 Nick directed and shot ‘KAKADU’, a 4x1hr landmark blue chip documentary series for the ABC in Australia. This series won him an AACTA award for ‘Best Cinematography’, and the Australian Directors Guild award for ‘Best Direction in a Documentary Series’.

More recently, Nick directed and shot “Life on the Reef”, a 3x1hr natural history documentary series, and a call to action on the Great Barrier Reef. This series also took out the AACTA award for ‘Best Cinematography’ and was nominated for ‘Outstanding Cinematography’ at the 2016 Emmy Awards in the US.

Nick founded Wild Pacific Media, a natural progression into production for a filmmaker with over 25 years in the business. He now has credits in well over 100 programs and has plenty of commercial films under his belt. Nick is currently working on feature length documentary films for IMAX and blue chip wildlife television series.

Caspar Mazzotti

Editor / Director

Caspar is a distinguished editor and has a strong foundation in documentary television. He has cut shows for all the major networks including National Geographic, Discovery, ABC, The History Channel and he’s worked on everything from big budget tourism TVC’s to long form 3D documentaries. Recent highlights include the ABC natural history and wildlife series ‘Kakadu’, for which he won ‘Best Editing in a Documentary Series’ at the 2014 Australian Screen Editors awards. He was nominated for the same award in 2016 for the ABC documentary series ‘Life On The Reef’ and also received a 2016 AACTA award nomination for sound design.

Caspar is also one of Australia’s most successful viral filmmakers; he grabbed the world’s attention when he created ‘GoPro: Man Fights Off Great White Shark In Sydney Harbour. This video currently has over 35 million views on YouTube and was featured on every major international news channel including CNN, Fox News, Time Magazine and Sky News to name a few. Caspar went on to direct a series of 7 more viral videos and now owns several YouTube channels. These videos have been viewed over 200 million times, all without the use of paid seeding or distribution. His videos have been shared by celebrities such as Snoop Dogg, P. Diddy, Mike Tyson, Margot Robbie and Joe Rogan. If you want exposure for your brand through viral marketing, Caspar is the person to talk to.
